Grand Ledge Police records do not become Eaton Sheriff records merely because an Eaton court later handles the charge. Request the police narrative from the city. This line changes when the incident lies outside Eaton County. The city police report can remain the first source, but another county's jail, prosecutor, and courts may hold the later steps.
